We all make mistakes in life. Sometimes our sins are so grave that our souls attract the attention of something beyond the world we know. There are things out there between life and death, and they dwell in the Dark Places of the human soul. As I crossed the threshold between life and death, between light and dark, I became something new–a Shadower. I have a new chance at life and the power to exceed my wildest imagination. But I am not alone, and if they are at all the kind of men and women that I was in life... they cannot be trusted.

We're pleased to announce a thrilling new tabletop game–Jeremiah Schwennen's Dark Places, a storytelling game of mystery and magic set in the dark corners of an afterlife gone wrong.
Dark Places is a tabletop roleplaying game featuring a slick, gamemasterless play style immersing four players in the politics and dangers of the Dark. Experience a shared world of tragedy, darkness, and–in its own twisted way–triumph. Dark Places requires no gamemaster or referee, it invites all players to equally share the experience of telling the story of their Shadowers and the mysteries of the Dark. The core rulebook contains all the rules required to tell a tale of the rise and fall of those consigned to the Dark Places.
Ever since 2012, we have used the 21st of December to make special anouncements or release new games. This year is no different, and it even comes with a shiny new website: after almost two years of development and playtesting, we're happy to announce that our next release—Earthdawn: The Age of Legend—has passed our licensor's first stage of approval and is now being layouted. The year 2014 went pretty well for us, although we had to take a few hits on the german side of things, so a number or our projects had to rest on the backburner. Here's a report and cautious preview for the coming year.
Thanks to your support we managed to release the Equinox Setting Guide last August. The Match System Guide is in its final stages, slated for release on December 21st. As with the Setting Guide, the Match System Guide PDF will be an early release. Artwork is the only thing needed to complete the book for a print release, so the PDF comes at a healthy discount to gather support in a similar way we did with the Setting Guide. With the rules being the most important part of this book, those who want to start adventuring in the Equinox Universe will be able to do so right away! Until all artwork is finalized (expected in Q2/2015), we will use the time to collect more feedback and fix any errors spotted in the meantime. The PDF will be updated accordingly, giving you the chance to follow the art design from sketch to final!
We have a number of additional releases for Equinox planned, including a campaign book, a set of story-oriented rules (ideal for beginners and convention games), as well as a few smaller "adventure packs". No more details on those at this stage, except that they're in the works and hopefully see a release.
Other Games and Translations
All other games and supplements we had planned to release were set back, but are still on the radar. We hope to get some more time dedicated to these in 2015, but can't promise anything. On the bright side, we have licensed a number of games for a spanish translation, and are glad people are still interested in these!
